…Mitt Romney of the Cranbrook School in Michigan, and graduated in 1965. Many of his classmates were from more wealthy backgrounds, and Romney was the only Mormon at Cranbrook. Despite this, Mitt won an award for those “whose contributions to school life are often not fully recognized through already existing channels”.
According to Wikipedia, Romney wasn’t a standout student nor a star athlete. He must have been a late bloomer, because he went from Stanford to BYU, and then to Harvard School of Business and Harvard Law.
Of course, we all know him as the former Governor of Massachusetts, and current Republican candidate for US President.
True story: all five of his boy’s attended Belmont Hill School, an all-boy’s prep school in MA.
